SUNSET OAKS HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION
RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
at the Meeting of April 18, 1990
(Retyped for website by Jim Hartsell 1/21/06. See association manager for official copy.)
WHEREAS, it is the responsibility of the Board of Directors to
enforce the Rules and Regulations and the Declaration of
Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions (CC&R's), and
WHEREAS, The Board of Directors of the Association is duly authorized under Article VIII, Section 8.4 of its CC&R's to establish rules and regulations from time to time for the parking of vehicles on the property, and
WHEREAS, permanent resident use of any unallocated parking spaces must be established by the Association, and such use must be set forth in written notice from the Association.
NOW THEREFORE LET IT BE RESOLVED, that ownership of a lot entitles the owner to the use of one covered parking space and one uncovered common area parking space. Uncovered common area parking spaces are not to be used for vehicle storage. Vehicle storage is defined as a period in excess of seventy-two (72) hours. If a vehicle must be parked for longer than seventy-two (72) hours, notification must be made in writing either by mail or personal delivery to the Association office at 675 Picasso Terrace. The notification is to include: 1.) the reason for the extension, 2.) the description and license number of the vehicle, and 3.) the location of the vehicle. Moving a vehicle from one off-street or private street space to another space in the complex does NOT initiate a new 72-hour period.
FURTHER RESOLVED to further establish equitable and enforceable parking in the off-street (driveway) spaces, a TAG system has been initiated. Each household (identified by lot number) is entitled to ONE TAG which is easily attached to (or removed from) the rear-view mirror. This TAG MUST BE VISIBLE on any vehicle parked in an off-street (driveway) space. TAGS are issued by the Association.
FURTHER RESOLVED, that any infraction to these parking rules will be subject to the following enforcement procedures: 1.) a written notice of rule violation will be attached to the vehicle; 2.) if the vehicle is not removed within 48 hours of said notification, the vehicle will be subject to towing at the owner's expense.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, the members of the Board of Directors have approved this resolution on the 18th day of April, 1990.
